This issue in a way is tied to celebrities and their work in overseas aid. Angelina Jolie has been a United Nations Ambassador for a while now and some people may question her intentions. I believe that what Michael J. Fox is doing is completely different by supporting something that he really believes may help millions of people, himself included. In this case, he is probably the most prominent person that has Parkinson’s Disease and by using him to show people what the disease can do gains more media attention than if a non-celebrity were to try to get media attention for Parkinson’s Disease.
